The country's inventors have provided technology services to deal with the COVID-19. The government has used the 'Map Hotspot' to monitor the pandemic situation, identify it and prevent it from spreading. Vaccination activities are going on successfully with the 'Surokkha' app created by our own programmers. Following this, by 2025, more than 1 million new jobs will be created in ICT. At the same time, e-services will be ensured for 100% of the country's citizens by providing high speed internet services to every region of the country's geographical boundary. As a result, it will be possible to generate Tk 5 billion in exports from the ICT sector alone, said Zunaid Ahmed Palak, state minister for information and communication technology.
Palak made the remarks while addressing the Asia-Pacific Conference on Virtual GSM Mobile 360 Series on Tuesday. In his speech, the state minister hoped that the country would continue to grow in the post-Covid period as well as during the Covid-19 period through sustainable application of technology.
